GINGER PEACH PECAN BREAD
(Ashley Hert) 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/3 cup sugar 1 tsp. ground ginger 1 cup molasses 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 3/4 cup hot water 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup shortening 1 small can peaches, drained and cut into small pieces Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour square pan, 9x9x2 inches. In large
mixing bowl, beat all ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl
constantly. Then beat on medium speed for 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean,
about 50 minutes. |
